Urijah Faber to Return in November

Originally scheduled to make his bantamweight debut at WEC 50 against Takeya Mizugaki before being forced to pull out due to a knee injury, former featherweight kingpin Urijah Faber will now begin his foray into the lighter division in November.
“Hopefully I’ll get a chance to fight in November. I told (WEC officials) I could go in September when I found out I’d be out four to six weeks. I wanted to be on the Sept. 30 card, but I got pushed back to November,” told Faber on an appearance on Sherdog Radio Network.
Faber is just 2-3 in his last five fights, first losing his title to Mike Brown by TKO and losing the rematch by unanimous decision. Most recently, Faber lost a unanimous decision to current featherweight champ Jose Aldo, which fueled his plans of moving down to bantamweight.
His debut against Mizugaki was a highly anticipated fight and surely would have been a massive boost to the dismal ratings achieved by WEC 50 without him.
“I just want fights that make sense. (A fight with Miguel) Torres would be bigger for me right now than (fighting WEC bantamweight champion Dominick) Cruz. There are all kinds of fights I can do right now and can go back up to 145. I feel like I can do well against most anybody at 145 and I’d be willing to go to 155 at some point.”
