Volkman Visited By Secret Service

Jacob Volkman went into his fight as an underdog at UFC 125 when he took on Antonio McKee, and walked out of the Octagon with the win. Minutes later he did an interview with MMAFighting, and gave an unusual answer to the who do you want to fight question. He said he would like to fight the President of The United States Barrack Obama, and he wanted to “Knock some sense into him.”

Volkman may have been laughing when he went back to the locker room, but he certainly wasn’t laughing when the Secret Service showed up at his gym. See, making a threat against a President, just in itself, is a Class D Felony, and EVERY case must be investigated. Of course, Volkman was immediately deemed as not a threat, but I bet he was freaked out for a minute or two. He told Sherdog, “He came to my house first and I wasn’t there. I was coaching youth wrestling at the high school. He said he wanted to ask me some questions about the post-fight interview. He said someone had called in D.C. He just asked me a couple questions, like if I was going to Washington to do anything to the president. I said, ‘That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. It took maybe two minutes. He said he was embarrassed to even come out here, because he knew that nothing was going on.”

McKee One And Done

Antonio Mckee was on the losing end of the Jacob Volkman fight, and was fighting in his first fight in the UFC. It was a big announcement when he signed his four fight deal with the organization, and now the UFC has released him after the loss. “Mandingo” has an overall record of 25-4-2 with past wins over Carlo Prater, Derrick Noble, Delson Heleno, and Marcus Aurelio. This came as shocking news to MMA fans, as McKee hasn’t lost a fight since 2003, and he has piled up 14 straight wins. The outspoken 40-year old has received criticism in the past for his in-ring style after earning eighteen of his twenty-five total career victories by way of the judges’ scorecards, and divisional spots on the roster are at a premium with the company’s recent addition of WEC lightweights.

Rampage Responds To Desperate Toney

After his laughable, and honestly pathetic first and only MMA fight, boxing has-been James Toney has been race baiting Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Toney is obviously trying to land himself another shot in the UFC, and I guess he thinks if he says enough ignorant and racist things to Jackson he will get another shot. This is highly unlikely as Dana White has already called him a joke, and said he would never be in the Octagon again. Toney is quoted as saying “What? Is he mad because I called him an Uncle Tom or because I said Detroit wouldn’t accept him? Rampage is still an Uncle Tom and I will go on record and say he is not dumb enough to stand and trade with me. Machida almost knocked him out, so what do you think I would do to him. Rampage is a black redneck. He better stick to hanging with them white boys and keep my name out of his mouth. I ain’t hard to find; sign the contract.”

I’m not sure why Rampage felt the need to respond, and I sure as hell hope White sticks to his word, but He made this video.
