UFC May Be Heading Back To Brazil

In 1998 the UFC went to Sau Paulo Brazil for an event called Ultimate Brazil. The event is sometimes buffered to as UFC 17.5. Graciemag.com is reporting that the UFC is headed back to Brazil for an event in 2011.
We are just now hearing of the event, and the date speculated is some time NEXT November. With the current champions of Mauricio Shogun Rua(Light Heavyweight,) and Anderson Spider Silva (Middleweight,) you would think they would do a big event with those guys defending their titles. We all know anything can happen in MMA, and even though Anderson is the longest defending champion in UFC history, you can’t count anything in the Octagon.
I would also think that Anderson Silva is the type of fighter that you need to beat twice. If anyone beats him, one would think you would have to beat him twice in order to keep the belt. When you do something like what he has done, I think you owe it to him. Anderson was being beat by Chael Sonnen until Silva submitted him in the closing minutes of the fifth round. Chael Sonnen is currently awaiting a hearing because of testing positive for Performance Enhancing Drugs/Steroids. Anderson Silva is set to face another Brazilian Vitor Belfort in Las Vegas at UFC 126.
Shogun is currently off the shelf and is expected to come back sometime in March of 2011. Who knows what it will entail, but he is currently healing after a surgery. The UFC may even have something up its sleeve. Anderson has defeated plenty of Light heavyweight fighters, and they may even be thinking of giving him a shot at the 205 belt. There are plenty of options for them to try. Also, with the WEC being rolled into the UFC, we could even expect a Jose Aldo title defense.
We are also hearing the event may be at the HSBC Arena, in Barra da Tijuca. This is a large stadium that has hosted plenty of big concerts. It will not be at the same venue as Ultimate Brazil. At that event we saw Vito Belfort beat Wanderlei Silva, and performances from Frank Shamrock, Ebenézer Braga, Pat Miletich, Pete Williams, Pedro Rizzo, and Tank Abbott.
