UFC 121 Payouts And Suspensions

The dust as settled, and new Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is polishing his belt while everyone else is counting the dollars. As per usual, the UFC must issue its fighter salary to the commission it fights under. The usual stipulation applies; This is only the reported income. It does NOT include locker room bonuses, sponsorship fees, or PPV percentages that some fighters get.
The list is as follows:
The pay roll total is 1.5 million dollars
Cain Velasquez: $200,000 (includes $100,000 win bonus)

Jake Shields: $150,000 ($75,000 win bonus)

Diego Sanchez: $100,000 ($50,000 win bonus)

They each earned a cool 70k on top of their fight purse.
The Medical suspensions are as follows:
Brock Lesnar :
suspended 180 days with no contact for 180 days due to possible eye injuries, though he can be cleared early by an ophthalmologist. Even if cleared he faces a mandatory 60 day suspension because of th cut he received i his fight against Cain Velasquez.
Jake Shields:
Shields lost a Decision to Martin Kampamnn and received a suspension of 180 days with no contact for 180 days due to bleeding of the eye and blurred vision. He can be cleared by an ophthalmologist.
Diego Sanchez
Diego sustained a possible wrist fracture in his Decision win over Paulo Thiago and received a 180 day suspension. However, he can be cleared by a doctor if he doesn’t have a broken his wrist.
Court McGee may have a broken right hand, but he can be cleared by a doctor. However, he still has a mandatory suspension of 45 days regardless for precautionary reasons.
Patrick Cote has a possible eye injury, and faces 180 day suspension but can also be cleared.
Paulo Thiago: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a laceration; can be cleared early
Tito Ortiz: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Brendan Schaub: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Gabriel Gonzaga: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Ryan Jensen: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Chris Camozzi: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a left-brow laceration; can be cleared early
Dongi Yang: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
Gilbert Yvel: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
