The official weigh-in event for Strikeforce Challengers 17 took place today (July 22, 2011) in the Key West Ballroom of Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort. The Main Event is the conclusion of a welter weight trilogy, as both Roger Bowling and Bobby Voelker have 1 win a piece against each other. The winner could end up on a Strikeforce card depending how the fight plays out.
Former champion Sarah Kaufman will be taking on Liz Carmouche. It isn’t being billed as a contender fight, but there is a good chance the winner will end up fighting current champion Marloes Coenen.
