Shark Fights 17 took place this evening in Frisco, Texas and aired live on HDNET. The main event proved to be a three round battle between veteran fightes Matt Horwich and Jake Rosholt, and it was Rosholt who walked out with the unanimous decision.
The card also featured a heavyweight bout between former UFC heavyweight champion Rico Rodriguez and last minute replacement Doug Williams. Rodriguez easily took the fight to the ground and worked his top game flawlessly. Williams gave up his back, and it was just a matter of time before the BJJ black belt secured the rear naked choke.
