Video: Watch Jon Jones Make His MMA Debut

Jon Bones Jones, the challenger for the light heavyweight crown in the UFC exploded onto the scene in the last few years. Few people were paying attention to him when he came into the UFC, and now at the young age of 23, he will be facing Mauricio Shogun Rua at UFC 128. The 12-1 fighter fought Brad Bernard to earn his first win on April 12, 2008, and the video has surfaced.

Comment on the fight: That wasn’t an illegal blow as he didn’t kick Bernard to the head, and the ref was a little slow on stopping it as well.

Jon Olav Einemo Signs To The UFC

The UFC has signed heavyweight grappling stand out Jon Olav Einemo. Einemo, who has a MMA record of 6-1, is a two time division champion at Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC.) There is no announced date as to when he will be making his UFC debut. He hasn’t competed in MMA since November of 2006, and he also happens to be the only person to submit Roger Gracie. The 35 year old’s one loss is to Febricio Werdum.

UFC Might Push The Pay Per View Times Up An hour

MMAFighting is reporting that the UFC may move their PPV time up an hour to 9ET/8Cst. The time change will be in effect for UFC 129 in Toronto which will take place on April 30. They are now considering making the change for all of the events. 52,000 tickets have been sold for the maiden event in Toronto. On that night, the pay-per-view telecast will begin at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT, one hour ahead of its usual time.
