Steelers Prepare For Super Bowl With Strip Club Visit

Despite copious evidence to the contrary, the NFL likes to portray itself as a beacon of moral virtue. That’s a primary reason why it opposes sports betting–despite the billions bet on sports every year led by NFL football. It also likes to portray the players in the NFL as a group of upright, benevolent and generous men who spend Monday through Saturday doing good deeds for others. To be fair, there’s some players that are really like that. But the league is concerned with image rather than reality–witness the full scale PR onslaught they’ve undertaken trying to convince the public that Michael Vick is really a ‘good guy’ despite ample proof otherwise.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in Dallas for Super Bowl XLV and they’re apparently doing their part to bring attention to the monumental shortage of strippers in the area. As we reported several days ago, North Texas strip clubs ‘gentleman’s’ clubs’ are scrambling to find as many as 10,o00 extra strippers exotic dancers for Super Bowl week. Obviously wanting to raise awareness of the desperate plight of the area’s adult entertainment industry, several Pittsburgh Steelers’ players took time out of their busy preparation schedule to make an appearance at a local establishment.
Hines Ward, Ike Taylor and several other members of the Steelers along with other unidentified ‘pro athletes’ made an appearance at the Dallas Gentleman’s Club on Northwest Highway. Boasting “the finest adult topless entertainment’ in town, the Dallas Gentleman’s Club is typical of the businesses dealing with the stripper shortage crisis. Ward and the other players enjoyed a few lap dances and in a egalitarian effort to do their part for the area’s adult industry ‘made it rain’ by tossing out money to the assembled dancers. Later, several players took to the main stage of the facility and danced with the ladies while once again ‘making it rain’. Here’s how Dallas News.com’s Super Bowl blog reported on the players’ appearance:
It didn’t take long for the Pittsburgh Steelers to sample some of the adult entertainment Dallas has to offer.
Late Monday night, hours after they arrived here, Hines Ward, Ike Taylor and several other members of the Pittsburgh Steelers kicked it at Dallas Gentlemen’s Club on Northwest Highway in Dallas.
A number of other pro athletes were there as well.
When Ward and his teammates entered the club, super hot dancers converged on them. They spent a few minutes in the VIP at the back of the club. But as the music pumped and the bootylicious women strode across the four stages, the Steelers huddled in the front corner of the club for closer looks.
Ward, wearing a plaid shirt and jeans, danced with a couple of strippers. At one point, he tossed out dollars as various hotties gave him lap dances. Other Steelers joined him in the fun.
At one point, near midnight, the Steelers, including huge linemen, appeared on the main stage., There they posed and danced with an assortment of strippers. After all, it was “make it rain Monday” at the club. And some of the players certainly made it rain with their dollar bills.
The disc jockey said that Green Bay Packer players were on the way, but I didn’t spot any at the club.
One large man wearing a green outfit with an Oakland As cap drank Moet out of the bottle.
I asked him was he wearing Packer green?
“I’m wearing money green,” he said.
We can only hope that the Packers will follow the example set by the Black and Gold and do their part for the men and women of North Texas’ adult entertainment industry. As the league so often reminds us, the “NFL cares”. If you’re in the area, we strongly encourage everyone to show their support by patronizing the gentleman’s club of your choice. If you’re not and just want to bet on Super Bowl action, the Green Bay Packers remain a -2.5 point favorite in the game with the total set at 44.
