Where Is The Stanley Cup Winning Puck?

The Chicago Blackhawks finished off the last season in a way they haven’t finished in 49 years. They skated off the Flyers ice as Stanley Cup Champions. Patrick Kane was able to score the winning goal, and it seemed him and Patrick Sharp were the only two players on the ice who knew it initially went in. It was quiet in the arena since they were in Philadelphia, and the Hawks didn’t want to celebrate too early and then have to reset. All that changed when the referee raised his hand and awarded the Chicago Blackhawks the goal, the game winner, and The Stanley Cup.
There is a mystery surrounded that goal now. Everyone wants to know, especially the NHL; What happened to the Game 6 puck that won the Blackhawks their first Stanley Cup of the millennium? The last time we saw the puck we saw it sliding over the goal line behind Philadelphia Flyers goalie Michael Leighton, but where is it now?
The NHL reportedly has been sending, then Blackhawk now Atlanta Thrasher, Ben Eager messages asking if he knows where it might be. Eager said “I got a couple of texts from the office asking if I had it. I told them no, so I don’t know. If I had the puck, obviously, it’s a big puck, I would tell the organization.”
Apparently Kane was talking as if he knew Ben Eager had the puck during camp leading up to this season by saying he think Eager picked it up. Eager continued “I think they were just pushing the blame on me. You know, ‘Blame it on Eager because he’s out of town.’ I’m sure Kaner or the Hall of Fame is looking for it. Chris Pronger probably threw it in the garbage or something.”
During the Stanley Cup finals, Pronger and Eager exchanged words in regards to another puck. After game two, Flyers Chris Pronger “Threw away” the game winner when the Blackhawks defeated them. A puck any of the Blackhawks would have liked to have, and possibly even the NHL. “I have the Game 5 puck,” Eager said. “I told the hawks that. Hopefully Game 6 turns up.”
The Blackhawks now 8-8-1 played the Atlanta Thrashers for the only time this season this past Saturday night. The Hawks were able to beat the Thrashers 5-4 after a shoot out. The loss left Atlanta 5-6-3, and they are now in 17th in the whole league, and 9th in their conference.
