Depending on the type of league you’re in, this could be the last week until the playoffs begin. If this is the case, a win might be needed in order to advance. Now isn’t the time to make a lineup blunder that could prevent a chance to earn fake glory (and cash). Big Ben, Shady McCoy and Percy Harvin are still out, Matt Forte and Miles Austin are banged up, and Darren McFadden and Greg Jennings are back but hardly reliable. Here are some suggestions for Week 13.

Chad Henne (@ BUF) – In three games, Henne has thrown seven touchdowns. In eleven games, Blaine Gabbert tossed nine touchdowns. The math here is simple. Henne will never be confused for Brady or Brees, but he moves the offense. The Bills secondary is decent, so don’t expect huge numbers. That said, the Jags have no choice but to throw.

Mikel Leshoure (vs IND) – The Colts have been mostly miss and not much hit against the run in 2012. Leshoure has scored five of his six touchdowns in the last four games. Joique Bell is stealing touches, but Leshoure is getting the bulk of the goal line carries. A short yardage score and 75 yards is reasonable.

Beanie Wells (vs NYJ) – The Jets can’t stop the run. The Cardinals are on their third quarterback who can’t throw. Wells is finally healthy and is fresh off a two-score outing versus the Rams. If you were wise to pluck him off the waiver wire a couple of weeks ago, now is the time to take advantage.

Davone Bess (vs NE) – Bess was the forgotten man for most of the season until a surge that has netted him 13 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown in the last two games. The Patriots will score a lot and force the Fins to pass against their vulnerable secondary. Bess has value this week, especially in PPR leagues.

Pierre Garcon (vs. NYG) – Garcon is always a threat to exit early with some sort of ailment, but like Beanie, it’s a good idea to use him while he’s relatively healthy. The Giants secondary is once again dealing with injuries and currently rank 25th in the league. In addition, RG III has been razor sharp of late. Garcon makes for an excellent flex option.

Jermichael Finley (vs. MIN) – Finley’s fall from fantasy grace has been a bit of a mystery. With Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson both missing time, it was logical to think the big tight end would benefit. Hasn’t happened. Perhaps with Jennings back, Finley will receive less attention from the Vikings defense. If you’re desperate at the position, he’s worth a shot.
