Top 5 Fantasy Football Kickers

#1 Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
The best fantasy football kickers are the ones that have been on the same team for a long time and have a potent offense that get them on the field after every touchdown.
The San Diego Chargers will head into the 2010-2011 NFL season as Super Bowl title contenders once again as they will have perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers running the show with a lot of offensive weapons at his disposal.
Even though any one of these kickers could turn out to be the league’s best fantasy option at the position, Kaeding is the best bet in my opinion as he puts up big numbers consistently.
#2 David Akers, Philadelphia Eagles
Much like Nate Kaeding with the San Diego Chargers, David Akers has been around for quite some time with the Philadelphia Eagles and will get a lot of opportunities to get on the gridiron this season as the Eagles could have a very potent offense with Kevin Kolb under center.
#3 Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots
There is a very good possibility that Stephen Gostkowski could turn out to be the best fantasy kicker in the NFL this season as the New England Patriots seem poised to get back to their 30 to 40 point performances on a weekly basis.
The only reason Kaeding and Akers are ahead of Gostkowski is the veteran and consistent angle, but in the end, he could end up blowing both of them out of the water.
#4 Ryan Longwell, Minnesota Vikings
Last season Brett Favre was able to lead the Minnesota Vikings offense to victory on a weekly basis as they dominated in both the ground game with Adrian Peterson coming out of the backfield and in the air attack, but even though the Silver Fox is another year older, the offense should be just as good if not better.
Along with players like Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson, kicker Ryan Longwell will also benefit from Favre’s presence under center.
#5 Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
As arguably one of the best offenses in NFL this season, the Green Bay Packers have the ability to put a lot of points on the board on any given Sunday and that means a lot of fantasy value for kicker Mason Crosby.
Honorable Mentions: Garrett Hartley, New Orleans Saints; Matt Prater, Denver Broncos; Jay Feely, Arizona Cardinals; Lawrence Tynes, New York Giants; Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans; Neil Rackers, Houston Texans
