TJ Houshmanzadah Goes From Seattle’s Top Threat to 3rd Receiver

Just a few months removed from being the Seattle Seahawks top receiving target for Matt Hasselback, he’s off the team and now on the bench of an AFC title contender.
After being released by the Seahawks, TJ Houshmanzadah has signed a contract worth a drastically lowered salary of $855,000 for one year to be a backup to Derrick Mason and Anquan Boldin.
It has to be frustrating for Houshmanzadah, who was few a few seasons ago a Pro Bowl receiver with Cincinnati and the leauges most coveted free agent receiver. After two somewhat lost seasons in Seattle, he’s was a softly coveted cap cut for the Seahawks who could have chosen to be with either the worst team in the NFL as a starter or a 2nd stringer on an AFC team.
As for the Ravens perspective, Houshmanzadah was a steal of a signing. After so many years of the receiving corps being Derrick Mason and a bunch of average options, they now have three former Pro Bowlers along with Donte Stallworth.
Houshmanzadah has to be excited to be playing with a Super Bowl contender, Joe Flacco has to be excited to be playing with a Pro Bowler, and Ravens fans have to be excited to finally have “TJ Houshmazilly” in purple instead of orange.
