Fantasy Football: Week 14 Pickups
Added on Dec 09, 2010 by Barry in
Quarterback
Jason Campbell, Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders may not be the most talented team in the NFL end could be on the outside looking in on the playoffs this season if they can’t win the AFC West division title, but all their offense and wins come when Jason Campbell is under center and I was never more apparent than last week in the win over the San Diego Chargers.
Obviously, Campbell isn’t the kind of quarterback you want to start in your fantasy football league, especially in the playoffs, but he might not be a bad option for backup.
Running Back
Tashard Choice, Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys might be in their stride right now as they are coming off perhaps the most impressive win of the season over Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, but they will almost certainly miss the playoffs as it is too little too late for America’s team.
Fortunately, there is an upside in terms of fantasy football as running back to Tashard choice has turned into a viable option for head coach Jason Garrett in the running game.
Wide Receiver
Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys
Just as Tashard Choice has become a big fantasy threat in the running game, wide receiver Roy Williams has seen his value go up as the Dallas Cowboys will have to look to another option in the passing game after losing rookie Dez Bryant for the rest of the season.
Whether or not Williams can step up and be that second option behind Miles Austin remains to be seen, but he might be a good option on your bench from here on out.
Tight End
Kevin Boss, New York Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles might be leading the way in the NFC East division right now, but the New York Giants are hanging around and will look to make an example of the Minnesota Vikings this weekend as quarterback Eli Manning will almost certainly target tight end Kevin Boss in the passing game.
Defense
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers may be failing to live expectations this season, but their defense is still amongst the best in the league when playing up to their potential and if you’re in need of a defense right now they’re a viable option if they’re still available in the free agent list.
