Fantasy Football: Start ‘Em Week 11

Quarterback
Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
No other quarterback in the league this season has had more fantasy football value than Philip Rivers (with the exception of Michael Vick). Not only is Rivers a legitimate NFL MVP candidate coming into Week 11, but he is putting up gigantic numbers this season and is a must start every single week.
This week the San Diego Chargers will be hosting the Denver Broncos in what will almost certainly be a blowout for the Chargers and possibly a career day for Rivers.
Running Back
Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers
Despite Frank Gore being one of the most injury prone big name running backs in the league, when he is on his game and facing run defense like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he is a must start as he could potentially put some big numbers!
Wide Receiver
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
Even though the Detroit Lions have to go to quarterback Shaun Hill to take over the for the injured Matthew Stafford (shoulder), Calvin Johnson is still the number one option in the offense and these two have already struck up some chemistry so don’t second guess starting arguably the most talented receiver in the league.
Tight End
Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Antonio Gates might be a little banged up coming into this week’s matchup against the division rival Denver Broncos, but with Philip Rivers under center and the team in desperation mode right now, I would starting Gates is a no-brainer as he will almost certainly get a touchdown and a good chunk of yards.
Defense
Pittsburgh Steelers
This may be a bit risky as they are going up against a very unpredictable team in the Oakland Raiders, but the Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been second to none this season and even though they were trampled by the New England Patriots last week, start Pittsburgh this week.
