Fantasy Football: Players to Drop in Week 8
Added on Oct 28, 2010 by Barry in
Quarterback
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
This season have been a nightmare for the Dallas Cowboys as they have gone from what was thought to be one of the best teams in the league and a Super Bowl title contender into what seems like a joke as they will come into Week 8 with just one win on the season.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the Cowboys will have to play the next six to eight weeks without their Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo who has a broken clavicle.
Running Back
Christopher Ivory, New Orleans Saints
With superstar running back Reggie Bush finally healthy and ready to get back on the gridiron, Christopher Ivory’s fantasy value has gone down the tubes as he will take a backseat to the former USC standout.
Wide Receiver
Louis Murphy, Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders were finally able to establish themselves as a team that can put points on the board as they lit up the Denver Broncos defense for a franchise-high 59 points last week, but they may have lost one of their best wide receivers in the process as Louis Murphy will miss the next couple of weeks if not longer.
Tight End
Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
This is pretty much just a reminder as that verdict is in on perennial Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark as he will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
So with that being said, drop him and drop him immediately!
Defense
New Orleans Saints
Last week’s performance by the New Orleans Saints defense was embarrassing to say the least as they gave up 30 points to one of the worst teams in the league in the Cleveland Browns.
With that being said it is finally time to drop the Saints defense as they no longer can put up the numbers they used to last season.
