Carson Palmer Not Interested In T.O. To The Raiders

Carson Palmer didn’t exactly throw former teammate Terrell Owens under the proverbial bus, but he did make it very clear: he has no interest in seeing ‘T.O.’ in Oakland.
Palmer took the high road in his assessment of Owens focusing on the great talent the team has on hand. He made no mention of the fact that T.O. has destroyed team chemistry wherever he goes and is generally a head case:
“T.O. and I had a great working relationship. He had one of his most successful years over the past five or six years, a lot of production, and he was a great teammate in Cincinnati. The problem is that for him to get here there’s not anybody that we could let go.”
“We have a stable of young horses that can run and guys that can just move. Very young, very inexperienced, but tons of potential and it’s tough to give up a young guy with a lot of potential for a guy that’s got a lot of history in the league that’s in his late 30s, so I can’t see him coming here, but I had a good time playing with him and he’s an explosive player himself.”
No one cares about T.O., but ESPN and their ilk insists on making a story out of the walking trainwreck instead of actually covering sports. Owens had an open workout earlier this week intended to showcase his skills for NFL teams but there was only one problem–no NFL teams showed up. Despite the complete lack of interest T.O.’s agent Drew Rosenhaus insists that the fiasco ‘created buzz’ which–according to him–was the goal all along. T.O. is undeterred by the lack of interest, saying that he only needs ‘one team’ to give him a shot and if that doesn’t happen he’ll be back to try again in 2012.
Carson Palmer, meanwhile, has his own problems. He was awful in his Oakland Raiders’ debut throwing three interceptions in a completely non-competitive loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders have a bye this week. They return to action on Sunday, November 6 when they’ll host the Denver Broncos.
