Gisele Bundchen’s post-Super Bowl comments certainly ruffled the feathers of Patriots fans and players. Her criticism of receivers dropping passes may have been accurate, but in the rough and tumble world of manly man football, the supermodel wife of a pretty boy quarterback is probably better served keeping her opinions to herself. But since she didn’t, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was nice enough to offer the leggy Brazilian some PR pointers.

During a rally for the champs at MetLife Stadium on Monday, Jacobs was asked to comment on Gisele’s post-game analysis, and Jacobs, as he normally does, didn’t pull any punches.

“She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up,” Jacobs said Tuesday, via the New York Post,

Oh no he didn’t! Women’s groups will probably take umbrage with Jacobs misogynistic, albeit hilarious, suggestion, but he seems to have articulated what a lot of others were afraid to say. Teammate Osi Umenyiora had a slightly different take on Mrs. Brady.

“I mean she’s supposed to stay out of things like that,” Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora told the Post on Tuesday. “But at the end of the day, that’s their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.”

Ouch. Sounds like Osi thinks Tommy should do a better job keeping his woman in line. Hey, it’s not like she’s the first trophy wife to be upset her hubby lost a big game. It just so happens that unlike ten years ago, these days everyone is armed with cell phone cameras and recording devices to capture in the heat of the moment frustrations.

The problem is Gisele has now inserted herself into Brady’s day job. It’s one thing to sit in a luxury box in a show of support, it’s another thing entirely to verbally attack your husband’s teammates. She does have a right to speak her mind, but next time she’d be better off waiting until the elevator doors close before opening her mouth.
