The Pistons were a darling of those who bet on NBA basketball earlier in the season due to their impressive pointspread record but they’ve been in bad form lately.  Detroit has lost 10 of its last 15 games going 6-9 ATS and enters this contest on a 3 game SU/ATS losing streak.  The Pacers, meanwhile, have started to look like a drastically different team than they did earlier this year.   Even with a loss to Miami last night the Pacers have won 7 of their last 10 and have covered 7 of their last 11.  They just missed getting the money last night against the Heat, losing by 7 as 5 point home underdogs.

In addition to the disparate form of the two teams, the Pacers have flat out dominated Detroit in recent years.  Since 2008, Indiana is 6-2 SU and a perfect 8-0 ATS in head to head play with the Pistons.  That includes a 2-2 SU/4-0 ATS record on the Pistons’ home floor.  The Pacers won and covered all four games a year ago, and with their recent struggles Detroit is likely looking forward to the All Star break.  We’ll lay the small price with Indiana based on their form and domination of the series.
