Plenty of action at your local sportsbook on Tuesday night, and in this post we’ll take a look at a non-conference game in the NBA between the Charlotte Bobcats and Sacramento Kings. Kings are coming off a win at Portland on Monday night while Charlotte has been idle since a blowout loss to Atlanta at home on Saturday night.

The Bobcats have been a much improved team since Paul Silas became head coach and moved away from Larry Brown’s ‘all defense, all the time’ tactics. The result is a more enthusiastic roster and a style of play that is really a better fit for the talent on hand. Charlotte is on a 6-10 SU/7-10 ATS run but is coming off a blowout home loss to Atlanta–they had the bad fortune of catching the Hawks coming off that embarrassing 59 point performance against New Orleans. Now they’ll face a Sacramento team that has struggled at home all year and is coming off a rare win against the Blazers at Portland on Monday night. Atlanta will be well rested, having last played on Saturday.
Even with last night’s victory the Kings have lost 7 of 10 SU and have been a terrible investment at home all season. Sacto is 6-16 SU/7-14 ATS on their own floor and this is a particularly bad ATS range for them. They’re 0-3 SU/0-2-1 ATS as home dogs of 3 or less this season and since 2008 the Kings are 4-18 SU/5-16-1 ATS in this price range. Bobcats are 3-1 SU/ATS as a road chalk of 3 or less this year and have dominated the Pacific Division in head to head play in recent years–Charlotte is currently on a 17-5 SU/16-6 ATS run in non conference play. Overall, Bobcats are a better team in a favorable scheduling situation and with current NBA odds installing them as a -1 point favorite we’ll lay the small price.
Bet Charlotte Bobcats -1 over Sacramento Kings
