With a big slate of NBA betting action on sportsbooks boards for Friday we’ll continue our analysis with the Cleveland Cavaliers heading to Charlotte to take on the Bobcats. Cavs have the league’s best record but are off a loss in OT to Denver on Thursday. Charlotte is two games ahead of Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Cavs lost a hard fought overtime verdict to Denver last night and have to play on the road here before an Eastern Conference grudge match against Orlando on Sunday. Very tough scheduling situation for Cleveland, who is in a bit of disarray at the moment with the fallout from the Antawn Jamison trade. The Nuggets ended Cleveland’s 13 game SU winning streak last night which makes this situation doubly difficult for the Cavs–there aren’t many teams that can immediately turn around and regain top form after a lengthy winning streak is snapped.
Charlotte may have very well been looking ahead to this online sportsbook matchup on Tuesday night when they were easily beaten at home by the New Jersey Nets. The Bobcats have somehow managed to lose *twice* to the Nets this season, and that should further enhance their resolve to put up a good effort here. Bobcats have a very solid 19-7 SU home record and actually have a two game winning streak against the Cavs winning both here in Charlotte and on the road. In other words, they know they can play with this team and after a monumentally embarassing performance against the lowly Nets should come out with a lot of fire here against a Cavs team that could simultaneously be suffering a letdown from last night’s loss and the end of their lengthy winning streak and a look ahead to Sunday’s matchup with the Magic.
