With sportsbooks offering a full slate of college basketball betting (soon march madness betting) action on Saturday, lets take a look at an ACC Conference matchup between Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. Both teams have similarly impressive overall records, but the Demon Deacons have had the edge in conference play. The two teams will face off for the second time this year in Winston-Salem, NC:
Georgia Tech at Wake Forest

Yellow Jackets ranked #20 nationally, while Wake Forest is unranked. Revenge spot for the Deacons who were mauled by Georgia Tech 79-58 in Atlanta on 1/28/10. That wasn’t surprising, since the Yellow Jackets have played well at home in ACC play but have struggled on the road. Tech beat North Carolina by two on the road, but are otherwise winless in their ACC away games. At home, they’re 12-1 SU overall with the only blemish an OT loss to Florida State.
Wake Forest is equally adept on their home court with a late November loss to William & Mary the only setback they’ve suffered in their building. Series has also been very much a home/away biased affair, with Wake Forest winning 9 of the L12 meetings at home. Sharp sports betting handicappers keep an eye open for situations where an unranked team is favored over a ranked team, and that’s exactly what we’ve got right here. Look for Wake Forest to win and cover this small number and avenge the earlier blowout loss in Atlanta.
