-News of the World, a British tabloid website, obtained video of former two-time world champion, Ricky Hatton, sniffing cocaine.  Hatton becomes the latest well known fighter from the UK to be linked to cocaine use as the fighting pride of Wales, Joe Calzaghe, admitted to having a cocaine habit as well.

-Ricky Hatton conqueror and undefeated star, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, was arrested yesterday on charges of grand Larceny.  As previously reported, police arrived at the Las Vegas residence of Mayweather after a domestic disturbance with former girlfriend, Josie Harris.  He was released from the Clark Country jail yesterday evening and is due to appear in court on November 9.

-Earlier today, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko, knocked out Samuel Peter in the tenth round of their rematch in Frankfurt, Germany. In their first fight Peter knocked Klitschko down several times, whereas in tonights bout Peter was the only to be floored which took place in the 10th right before it was officially waved off.

-Tonights Yuriorkis Gamboa and Orlando Salido fight will no longer be a unification bout for Salido as he has been stripped of his IBF featherweight title.  After weighing in at the 126 lb. limit yesterday, he weighed in 12 pounds heavier this morning at 8 AM violating sanctioning body’s 10 lb. maximum weight gain rule.  Both belts will still be on the line for Gamboa.

-If Gamboa gets by Salido tonight and Juan Manuel Lopez successfully defends his belt in December against Rafael Marquez, there is a strong possibility that a unification bout between Gamboa and Lopez takes place in February or March of next year.

-Last night proved to be a great one for fighters across the pond as heavyweight Tyson Fury and John O’Donnell scored decision wins on the latest installment of ShoBox: The Next Generation.  Fury outpointed Rich Power with a shutout score of 80-72 while welterweight attraction had O’Donnell outpointed veteran Terrance Cauthen with a tally of 118-112.

-In other ShoBox news, the series returns next Friday, Sept. 17, when world-ranked welterweight Freddy Hernandez takes on former World Boxing Organization (WBO) champion “Mighty” Mike Anchondo in the main event from Primm , Nev.

-TKO Boxing Promotions announced earlier today that their undefeated featherweight Matt “Sharp Shooter” Remillard will return to the squared circle on October 29 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.  While it is unknown at this time who he will be facing, it has been confirmed that Remillard’s NABF and NABO regional titles will be on the line.

-After neither camp could reach a monetary agreement for their expected showdown the WBA has ordered a purse bid for the junior welterweight clash between Amir Khan and Marcos Maidana.
