Coming into this NFL regular season, the Minnesota Vikings were considered to be arguably one of the best teams in the league as everything seemed to fall into place with three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre coming back for one more season under center and the same team relatively intact and ready to compete for a Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, things haven’t panned out the way they anticipated and heading into Week 10 the Minnesota Vikings will have just three wins on the season and in danger of missing the playoffs entirely.

Not only have the Vikings had to deal with controversy surrounding head coach Brad Childress decision making and Brett Favre’s off field issues, but despite having arguably one of the most talented teams in the league on both sides of the football, they just haven’t been able to pull it together until Week 9 where the superstar quarterback came back to life with another classic fourth quarter comeback and a career-high in passing yards with 446.

Obviously, it took Brett Favre until the fourth quarter to get going in this game against the Arizona Cardinals and it may end up turning out to be fluke and possibly his last great performance in the NFL, but if you are in need of a quarterback, even just for one week due to a bye for your usual starters, I would take a look at Favre.

The only thing to be careful about in Week 10 is that the Minnesota Vikings will be going up against the lockdown defense of the Chicago Bears in a NFC North division showdown. Both teams will almost certainly be pumped up for this game as it is a huge rivalry and could mean the difference between a division title, but if Brett Favre can stay on this high for a little bit longer he could become a fantasy football force once again!
