Brad Richards Sends One Through The Glass(video), Not Enough To Beat LA

We all seen some fun glass shattering NHL action, and although I’m sometimes bummed it stops the action, I do enjoy the slow motion video of the glass splintering. That didn’t happen when Dallas Star’s Brad Richards sent one straight through the glass from the blue line. You can watch the video below, but it looked more like how a baseball would go through a window when you were little. One lucky fan got to go home with the puck, and I hope he kept the piece of glass you see flying out as well. In my opinion those two need to be preserved together along with a dvd of the play.
Unfortunately for Richards the glass shattering incident wasn’t worth 4 points as they went on to lose the game 5-2. Richards was able to score though, and even tied up in the first with a quick wrist shot. The kings went on to score twice in the second and twice in the third. Where as Dallas was only able to get one more goal.
The Kings are currently at the top of the Western Conference at 7-3-0 and have the most points in the NHL. They finished 3-2-0 on their eight-day road trip. After a tough loss to the Blackhawks in their last game, they were happy to finish strong on the road. Even though they were out shot 32-24 they were still able to get 5 past Dallas goalies.
LA Kings Coach Terry Murray said told NHL.com “It’s a great road trip,’I addressed the team at the end here, when we came in, that this win makes it a great road trip. That was hard. There were a lot of late nights, travel, and to finish it off with a big win against a division opponent like this makes it outstanding.”
