The fighter salaries have been released for the Diaz vs Noons II card that took place this past weekend in San Jose, California. It should be noted that the numbers are only what the promotions are required to tell the athletic commissions. In order to make sure the promotions have the monies on hand, it is a requirement for them to tell the commissions what they are paying the fighters in advance. These numbers do NOT include “locker room bonuses,” sponsorship money, or any other perks.

It is also common that foreign fighters, such as now champion Marloes Coenen, report small purses for their fights. In some countries, large fees and taxes are levied against athletes for prize fighting. It may look bizarre that the new champion only made as much as the under card fighters, but you could bet she made much more than the disclosed amount.

The live gate earned Strikeforce $528,466.00 with the attendance of about 7,600.

Televised Fighters:

Nick Diaz: $50,000 (no bonus) def. K.J. Noons $10,000
