Aaron Rodgers Suffers Concussion In Packers’ Loss

Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion in Sunday’s 16-13 loss to the Washington Redskins and is listed as ‘questionable’ for next week’s game against Miami. Rodgers played the entire game at Washington, completing 27 of 45 passes for 310 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He passed 10,000 yards in career passing yardage in the process.
The injury looks like it occurred on Green Bay’s final drive of the game. Rodgers was hit hard on the play that ended with a LaRon Landry interception and was slow to get up. Matt Flynn was warming up on the sidelines but never got a chance to get into the game since Washington scored on their next possession. Rodgers’ concussion doesn’t seem to be serious but obviously that’s hard to determine accurately without the appropriate medical tests.
Generally rough day for the Packers on the injury front. Tight end Jermichael Finley suffered a knee injury on the Packers’ first offensive drive and had to be removed from the field on a cart. Tight end Donald Lee injured his shoulder later in the quarter. The Packer defense wasn’t immune from the injury bug either as DL Ryan Pickett and linebacker Clay Matthews both left the game early. All of the injured Packers are currently listed as ‘questionable’ for next week’s home game against the Miami Dolphins.
