Following the footsteps of fellow New England fighters such as Peter Manfredo and Edwin Rodriguez, Ryan “The Polish Prince” Kielczewski to join DiBella Entertainment’s roster.
Clearly Kielczewski left a lasting impression in his recent one sided over Juan Nazario win which took place in June as a part of DiBella’s Broadway Boxing series.
“Ryan is an exciting young fighter with an all-star group behind him,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “His combination of character, looks, and legitimate ability made him a priority to sign.”
As a teenager Kielczewski (8-0, 2 KOs) found a great deal of success in the amateur ranks which was capped off by a second place finish at the 2008 National Golden Gloves tournament in the 125-pound division. Later that year, at the age of 19, Kielczewski decided to leave the amateur game behind and get a head start in the pros.
Currently being managed by his father Rick, Ryan will also retain the services of respected adviser Sampson Lewkowicz, who also serves as an adviser to current WBC Middleweight Champion and DiBella stablemate Sergio Martinez.
“I am honored to be working with Ryan,” said Lewkowicz. “He is not only a good fighter, but also a great person, whose heritage is from the home country of my father, Poland. I have no doubt he will be a world champion.”
With just a handful of fights under his belt as a professional, Kielczewski has a long and hard road ahead of him in order to be recognized as a world champion, but he realizes that in signing with DiBella Entertainment he has the opportunity to be properly guided while he hones his craft.
“DiBella Entertainment is the best around; I’ve heard that from everyone,” said Kielczewski. “Now I can focus on learning each day in the gym. I am getting better every day.”
While it isn’t yet official, the execs at DiBella Entertainment are looking at November for Kielczewski’s return to the ring.
It should be noted that the aforementioned Sergio Martinez will be defending his middleweight championship in a rematch with Paul Williams at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on November 20.
With Kielczewski sharing a promoter and adviser with Martinez, fans shouldn’t be at all surprised if this is the event chosen to showcase Kielczewski’s debut under the DiBella Entertainment banner.
