Fantasy Football Injury Update: Michael Vick has Rib Cartilage Injury

The Philadelphia Eagles came into this NFL regular season with high hopes for the future after they shipped former face of the franchise and six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb to the NFC East division rival Washington Redskins in the offseason.
This was an unprecedented move to say the least, but with two extremely talented backup quarterbacks in Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb, the Eagles had to make a move and so far it looks like they may have made the right one.
With Michael Vick coming into his own and looking like the dominate quarterback of old, the Philadelphia Eagles offense has been as dynamic as any other in the league and was beginning to look like the clear favorite to win the NFC East division before they saw it all come crumbling down ironically against the Washington Redskins in Week 4.
Coming into Week 4′s NFC East showdown with Donovan McNabb’s Washington Redskins, Michael Vick was playing like arguably the best quarterback in the league as he has been torching opposing defenses with his quick feet and extremely accurate passing.
Unfortunately, before halftime against the Redskins, Vick scrambled towards the endzone and was sandwiched between two Redskins defenders and was immediately grimacing with pain as he headed to the sidelines.
Reportedly, Vick has suffered a rib cartilage injury that causes him serious pain when making any movement with his upper body like putting on a t-shirt. This is really bad news for the Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick fantasy football owners as it is uncertain when the superstar quarterback will return and if he does whether or not he will be the same player.
Fortunately, there is an option for fantasy football owners as Kevin Kolb is most likely available in most leagues and great option for the time being to fill the void at quarterback.
