#1 Quarterback: Matt Moore, Carolina Panthers

Last season was an absolute nightmare for the Carolina Panthers as everyone witnessed a once promising young team with Super Bowl aspirations fall apart with every passing game. Not only was the team dealing with losing arguably their best offensive weapon in superstar wide receiver Steve Smith to a broken arm, but veteran quarterback Jake Delhomme went from a Pro Bowl caliber player to one of the worst quarterbacks in the league in a matter of months.

With Delhomme getting worse on a weekly basis, the Panthers coaching staff decided to go with their backup in the form of Matt Moore. Even though most people hadn’t heard of this undrafted quarterback, he definitely reignited a fire in this team by leading them to three victories to finish out the season.

This year the Panthers will use Moore as their number one guy despite drafting Jimmy Clausen out of Notre Dame and the consensus is that he could become an impact player with great potential to be fantasy football’s biggest sleeper.

Other notable QB sleepers: Matt Leinart, Arizona Cardinals; Seneca Wallace, Cleveland Browns

#2 Running Back: Tim Hightower, Arizona Cardinals

Even though the Arizona Cardinals have been primarily a passing team over the past few seasons, future Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner has called it quits and has handed the team over the Matt Leinart once again.

With Leinart struggling in the preseason and Derek Anderson possibly becoming the number one guy under center this season, the Cardinals could gradually get their running backs more involved, especially in redzone situations.

Beanie Wells is the back that will rack up the yards in Arizona, but Tim Hightower has the potential to get the bulk of touchdowns as he will almost certainly be the 3rd down/redzone back.

Other notable RB sleepers: Marion Barber, Dallas Cowboys; Larry Johnson, Washington Redskins; Chester Taylor, Chicago Bears; Ben Tate, Houston Texans

#3 Wide Receiver: Earl Bennett, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears went through an extremely rough season last year as they had to deal with losing arguably their best defensive player in linebacker Brian Urlacher in the first game of the season and new Pro Bowl caliber quarterback Jay Cutler failing to live up to expectations by throwing a league-high 26 interceptions.

This season the team will start to turn things around starting with the offense as Jay Cutler looks more comfortable under center and his wide receivers will most likely benefit the most with players like Earl Bennett turning into a big time fantasy wideout.

Other notable WR sleepers: Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers; Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals; Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans; Malcolm Floyd, San Diego Chargers
