On Saturday, September 11, future Hall of Fame fighter Erik “El Terrible” Morales (49-6, 34 KOs) will attempt to secure the 50th victory of his career as he takes on the the Scottish born Willie “Hands of Steel” Limond (33-2, 8 KOs) in the headlining bout of the “Mexican Fiesta” Pay-Per-View event to be distributed by Integral Sports Media live from Mexico City.  The lightly regarded WBC “Diamond” Junior Welterweight Championship will be on the line for the scheduled 12 round affair.

“We’re excited to bring U.S. boxing fans the second comeback fight for living legend Erik Morales, who is the last man to defeat Manny Pacquaio,” Integrated Sports Media president Doug Jacobs said. “It’s a privilege for Integrated Sports Media to air this living legend’s continued comeback. The rest of the card is loaded with interesting fights that insure an entertaining night of boxing.”

While there is a minor title on the line for his next bout, Morales sights are set on capturing a major world title in the 140 lb. division making him the only Mexican born fighter to win championships in four different weight classes.

Morales returned to the ring in March following two and a half years away from the sweet science with a win over Jose Alfarro via unanimous decision as one of the scorecards read 117-111 and the other two with a score of 116-112.  The win was his first in five years thus snapping a four fight losing streak.  Morales claimed the vacant WBC International welterweight title with the win the victory.

Prior to the Alfarro win, Morales’ last had his hand raised in triumph as he outpointed Filipino phenom Manny Pacquiao in a classic 12 round brawl back in 2005.  While Morales has defeated the likes of Kevin Kelley, Junior Jones, Paulie Ayala, Wayne McCoullough and Guty Espadas, Jr. he will arguably most be remembered for his epic trilogy with fellow Mexican great, Marco Antonio Barrera.
