MLB Betting Free Picks: San Francisco @ Toronto
Added on Jun 20, 2010 by Jack Thurman in
Sportsbooks offering a full slate of baseball betting opportunities for Sunday as Interleauge play continues, and we’ll take a look at a game between the San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto is playing good baseball with a 38-31 record, but unfortunately that’s just good enough for 4th place in the brutally tough AL East. San Francisco is also in third place in the NL West part of a three team race for the lead with San Diego and Los Angeles.
San Francisco Giants (Sanchez) at Toronto Blue Jays (Marcum)

Both teams treading water of late, each with a record of 5-5 in their last 10 games. Good pitching matchup between Pete Sanchez, who checks in with a 2.78 ERA and Shaun Marcum who has a 3.31 ERA. Toronto won the first two games of this series, but they’re -11.1 units in Interleague play over the past three years.
In addition to getting a solid pitcher in Sanchez at an underdog price, the Blue Jays have struggled against left handed pitching this year. They did get a 3-0 win over Barry Zito yesterday, but are 7-9 for the season against southpaws including 2-4 at home. Of bigger concern is their offensive output–or lack thereof–against lefties. Toronto is hitting a paltry .195 and averaging 2.7 runs per game against LHP. That’s not going to get it done against the Giants, and certainly makes the Blue Jays a very questionable favorite. Giants head to Houston next, so they’ve got a chance to string together some wins and we look for them to start here.
