MLB Betting Free Picks: Chicago @ Milwaukee
Added on Jun 09, 2010 by Jack Thurman in
Full slate of nighttime baseball betting action at sportsbooks on Wednesday, and we’ll look at a National League game between the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers. Cubs in third place, Brewers in fourth place though this is as much of a ‘geographic rivalry’ as anything else. This game will be televised nationally on ESPN in the United States.
Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers
June 9, 5:10 PM Pacific
Neither team in great form at the moment, with the Cubs having lost 7 of 10 and the Brewers 6 of 10. Brewers managed to scrap out a victory on Tuesday night, but the Cubs have dominated head to head play. Cubs are 5-2 over Milwaukee so far this season including 3-1 at Milwaukee. Cubs are also on runs of 24-15 overall and 13-7 +7.2 units at Milwaukee. Brewers have been awful at Miller Park this season (9-16 -10.5 units). Cubs have also managed a winning record against left handers at 9-8 this season.
Randy Wolf gets the start for Milwaukee here and although he’s pitched reasonably well this season (4.66 ERA, 3.76 in his home starts) the Brewers have lost 7 of his 12 starts. Carlos Zambrano gets the start for Chicago and though he’s in nowhere near his usual form we’ll still back Chicago to regain control of the matchup. In a matchup between two struggling sides we think the Cubs have more upside and will bet on them here.
Bet Chicago Cubs (Zambrano) -110 over Milwaukee (Wolf)
