Added on Mar 07, 2010 by Jack Thurman in
Sportsbooks are offering a big slate of basketball action for Saturday and we’ll take a look at a solid NBA betting opportunity in the Golden State/Charlotte game. Bobcats are trying to get themselves back into the playoff picture, 1 game behind 8th place Miami. Golden State is trying to avoid slipping past Minnesota for the worst record in the Western Conference and second worst in the NBA.
Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Bobcats

Bobcats all star Stephen Jackson still has a grudge against Don Nelson and the Golden State Warriors, and he’ll be anxious to deliver the beatdown in his second head to head meeting with his old team. In the first, Jackson and Gerald Wallace each dropped 30 points on Golden State as the Bobcats beat the Warriors by 11 at Oracle Arena. This will be Golden State’s first visit to Charlotte, and with the Bobcats needing a win it has all of the makings of another rout.
Charlotte’s profile is the same as its been all year–they dominate at home and struggle on the road. The Bobcats are 21-8 at home, 8-23 away from home. They’ve slipped out of the playoff picture of late with a schedule heavy with road games and every win is crucial at this point. Charlotte won’t be willing to play the Warriors preferred tempo like they were in the first meeting out west–the Bobcats have the #2 ranked scoring defense in the NBA and will make life miserable for the run and gun Warriors. Tough scheduling spot for the injury plagued Warriors playing their fourth game in five nights. Bobcats win big here.
