NBA Betting Free Picks: Oklahoma City @ Portland
Added on Feb 09, 2010 by Jack Thurman in
We continue to work our way toward the All Star Break with a good sized slate of NBA betting options for Tuesday. The only problem is that a number of the games are off the board at most sports wagering spots due to injury. We’ll head out west and look to what was at one point the battle of the Pacific Northwest before the Seattle Supersonics left ‘The Jet City’. Now its just the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Portland Trailblazers:
Oklahoma City at Portland
February 9, 7:05 PM Pacific
Oklahoma City has improved dramatically over the course of the season and now lead the Trailblazers by 1/2 game in the Western Conference standings. Thunder have won 7 of their L10 games straight up to move into a tie for 6th place with San Antonio. OKC has been downright lethal on the road, where they’ve gone 14-11 SU and a remarkable 18-7 against the spread. They’ll enter this contest having covered 9 of their L12 overall.
Blazers have done a decent job holding things together as their injuries continue to mount and will play this game without Brandon Roy. Big revenge spot for OKC after the Blazers beat them at home earlier in the season, plus Kevin Durant should be motivated to put on a show in front of the Portland fans (you’ll recall the Blazers passed over Durant to select Greg Oden in the draft two years ago). Without Roy in the lineup it’ll be tough for Portland to match his scoring. In theory, hate to go against the Blazers at home but they’ll have their hands full with the talented young Thunder. OKC wins outright and at this price that’s all we need them to do.
