With March Madness betting season quickly approaching, NBA basketball betting action on a short card tonight with only two games scheduled. We’ll give you a sportsbook play on the Cleveland Cavaliers/Toronto Raptors game. Cleveland is leading the Eastern Conference with a 31-11 mark including a 14-3 record at home. Toronto has been making a move lately, and the Raptors are tied with two other teams for 5th place in the conference.

Cavs have a great SU home record–they’re one of only three NBA teams with just 3 home losses along with Denver and the LA Lakers. That hasn’t translated into pointspread success, however, as Cleveland is only 6-11 ATS at home and 15-21 ATS as a favorite. As a home favorite in this price range (9′ to 12 points) they’re a woeful 1-5 ATS this year with two outright losses. The Cavs are also in a possible ‘lookahead’ spot as they’ve got the Lakers coming in on Thursday. Overall, Cavs have only covered 2 of their last 9 games.
The Raptors, meanwhile, have been in excellent form of late as Chris Bosh is playing like a superstar averaging 23 points and 11 boards this season. They’ve won 7 of 10 SU and covered 9 of their last 13 games. Toronto beat Cleveland at home earlier this year, but the focus on the forthcoming Lakers game likely negates any revenge concept in this spot. Cavs have only won two of their last 7 home games by more than 10 points which includes closer than expected games against New Jersey, Milwaukee and an outright loss to a Charlotte team that’s 3-15 on the road this year. Raptors may not pull the outright upset, but they’ve got the talent and form to keep it interesting throughout.
