Welcome to the fantasy football playoffs. If you are fortunate enough to still be playing that means you drafted a solid roster, made the correct free agent moves and avoided a rash of serious injuries. Congratulations. Now is the time to achieve fake glory. No reason to get too extreme with your lineups. Brady, Brees, Foster, McCoy, Megatron, Fitzgerald, Graham and Gronkowski are automatics. However, taking a risk or two could be the difference between advancing or going home. Here are some guys to strongly consider.

Tim Tebow (vs. NE) – Okay, odds are if you own Tebow you’ve probably debated every single week whether to start him. The execution might be ugly, but the results have been very consistent. He’s tossed for over 200 yards in his last two games and totaled three touchdowns, although his rushing totals have slipped. This week he faces a Patriots 32nd ranked pass defense that has been skewered by Vince Young, Dan Orlovsky and Rex Grossman. Safe to say, it’s Tebow time.

Chris Wells (vs. CLE) – The man known as Beanie is the definition of unreliable. He’s always hurt, never practices and is a good bet to come up small against bad defenses. That being said, just when you think he should be put out to pasture, he’ll explode for a monster game. The Browns 30th ranked run defense awaits. The same defense Ray Rice shredded for 200 yards two weeks ago. If you need a number two back or a flex player, Wells is an attractive option.

Julio Jones (vs. JAC) – When healthy, the rookie wideout has produced. He’s eclipsed 100-plus yards in four of nine starts and is always a threat for a long touchdown. The Jaguars defense has been stingy against the pass, despite a spate of injuries. If you’re looking for upside and are struggling with who to plug in as your number three wide receiver, give Jones a shot.

Owen Daniels (vs. CAR) – OD hasn’t found the end zone since Week 3. Meanwhile, teammate Joel Dreessen has scored in three straight games and has six touchdowns on only 19 receptions. The good news is the Panthers defense has been terrible against tight ends all season. With Andre Johnson hobbled, rookie quarterback T.J. Yates has been targeting Daniels a lot. With so few reliable options at the position, Daniels has an excellent matchup.

Packers D/ST (@ KC) – The Chiefs offense hasn’t scored more than ten points since Week 8. The Packers defense has intercepted a league best 27 passes.  Kyle Orton takes over for Tyler Palko under center, but don’t expect a sudden surge in scoring. The Pack will feast in this one.
