The dreaded hamstring strain once again reared its ugly head during Week 10 of the NFL season. For whatever reason, more and more players are falling victim to these temperamental thigh muscles. Sunday was no different as a handful of big names were forced to the sidelines. But hamstrings weren’t the only body parts to be affected. Here’s a quick roundup of the most significant injuries.

Matt Cassel (Chiefs) – The KC signal-caller left the stadium wearing a cast on his right hand, although head coach Todd Haley was mum on the details. If it’s a broken bone, Cassel would likely be out a minimum of two weeks.

Mike Vick (Eagles) – Vick broke two lower ribs on Sunday and his status for Week 11 is up in the air. With the Eagles sitting at 3-6, it seems improbable he will play.

Leon Hall (Bengals) – The surprisingly stout Bengals defense was dealt a severe blow after Hall went down with a torn Achilles, ending his season.

Jeremy Maclin (Eagles) – The Eagles leading receiver left the loss to Arizona with a shoulder injury, only to return to suffer a hamstring pull. It’s unlikely he’ll be ready for the Week 11 showdown with the Giants.

Willis McGahee (Broncos) – A strained left hamstring ended McGahee’s day in the first quarter. It didn’t look promising, however, he is being listed as day to day.

Knowshon Moreno (Broncos) – McGahee’s backup fared much worse after exiting with a torn right ACL. Obviously, his season is over.

Julio Jones (Falcons) – The strained hammy that caused Jones to miss two games last month was aggravated early in Atlanta’s defeat to the Saints. Sounds very similar to Miles Austin who has been in and out of the Cowboys lineup all season.

Matt Stafford (Lions) – A fractured right index finger plagued Stafford through most of the game, but he was able to endure the pain. He should be ready to go in Week 11.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Eagles) – Cromartie’s disappointing season got worse when he sustained a sprained ankle. X-rays were negative, but he’s being listed as doubtful to play next Sunday.

Rashean Mathis (Jaguars) – A torn left ACL will reportedly end Mathis’ season. That’s bad news for a defense thin on stars.

Eric Wood (Bills) – The Bills starting center will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Al Harris (Rams) – The veteran cornerback will undergo an MRI on his right knee to determine the extent of the damage. The Rams have been decimated by injuries, especially in the secondary.

Leonard Hankerson (Redskins) – The rookie wide receiver caught eight passes for 106 yards before leaving with a strained hip. With Santana Moss, Chris Cooley and Tim Hightower out, the ‘Skins can ill afford another skill position player to be sidelined.

Sidney Rice and Doug Baldwin (Seahawks) – Seattle’s top two wideouts both sustained concussions. It’s unknown if either will be cleared to return for Week 11.

Devin McCourty (Patriots) – McCourty will be out 2-4 weeks after separating his right shoulder in a collision on Sunday night. The Pats’ secondary is so depleted they were forced to play wide receiver Julian Edelman at corner.
