Not a lot on the NBA betting board for Monday, but we’ll take a look at a Western Conference game between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers at Arco Arena.  Neither team in particularly good form at the moment–both teams have lost 8 of their last 10 and the Clippers are winless since the All Star Break.

Clippers have lost four games since the All Star Break, but its not like they were playing a schedule of pushovers and setups–the losses came to Oklahoma City and New Orleans on the road and the Lakers and Celtics at the Staples Center.  Kings haven’t played an easy schedule either, but they’re losing to everyone–with the exception of an improbable SU win at Orlando Sacto is 1-6 SU/ATS in their last 7 games and currently on a 2-10 SU run.

At one point Arco Arena was one of the nastiest home courts in the NBA but things have changed dramatically–the Kings have been lousy for several years, they can’t get a deal to build a new arena and the fans aren’t supporting them like they used to.  The current plan is to move the team to Anaheim to play their home games at the Honda Center.  Not exactly a situation conducive to generating strong home town support in the city they’re about to leave.   The Clippers aren’t a very good road team, but Sacramento just 11-17 ATS at home and just 2-7 ATS as a favorite.  The Clippers will be without Eric Gordon, but Sacramento will be without their leading scorer Tyreke Evans who is expected to miss several weeks with plantar fasciitis.  Clippers still have more talent than the Kings and are a solid 17-11 ATS against poor defensive teams (allowing 99+ PPG).  Kings just 7-14 ATS against opponents with losing records–they’re a better play against strong opponents who may overlook them.  Clippers have had no trouble with Sacramento this season, winning all three meetings going 2-0-1 ATS.  The last time the Clippers played in Sacramento they were a -1 point road favorite and it’s hard to see anything that’s happened since then to justify the movement in this price toward the Kings.  Clips win outright.

Bet Los Angeles Clippers +2 over Sacramento Kings
