More NBA betting action for Saturday as a couple of ‘middle of the pack’ teams face off in Detroit as the Pistons host the Philadelphia 76ers. Sixers are 15-21 and in third place in the Atlantic Division following a home court win over Chicago last night. The Pistons are 11-24 and in 4th place in the Central Division.

Both teams have been a solid ATS investment in recent weeks–Sixers have cashed tickets for basketball betting enthusiasts in 15 of their last 19 games, while the Pistons have covered 7 of their last 10 games. Philly still playing without Andre Iguodala though he’s expected to return within the next week. As mentioned above, the Sixers played at home last night while Detroit has been idle since Tuesday night.
Philly has a winning record at home (10-6 SU) but have been awful on the road going 5-15 SU. They are a decent ATS team on the road (12-7 ATS) but at this price their inability to win outright away from home has to be a concern. Detroit has been a profitable ATS team on their home court (10-6 ATS) and are coming off a blowout loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles in their last outing. So far this season, the Pistons have shown a tendency to bounce back well after a bad defensive performance–they’re 9-2 ATS after allowing 105 or more points.
Both of these teams have made money for bettors of late, but typically we’d rather play them getting a good number of points. In a head to head matchup with such a small pointspread we’ll lean to the rested home team.
Bet Detroit Pistons -2 over Philadelphia 76ers
