UFC Reject Paul Daley To Appear on ESPN’s MMA Live Tomorrow Night

It wasn’t very long ago that Nottingham’s Paul “Semtex” Daley was making headlines for trying to land a cheap shot on Josh Koscheck following their UFC 113 clash. Immediately following the pathetic lack of sportsmanship and a unanimous decision loss, Daley was given his walking papers by Dana White of the UFC.
Since then the British mixed martial artist has put together two wins and was signed by UFC competitor, Strikeforce.
His return to the cage following the Koscheck debacle came a couple of months later in July in Sydney, Australia where he submitted Daniel Acacio in the third round at Impact FC 2.
He crossed the pond and made his way to Amarillo, Texas for Shark Fights 13: Jardine vs. Prangley where Daley scored a unanimous decision win over Jorge Masvidal. Daley actually had more issues fighting the scale than his opponent as he came in overweight resulting in him being forced to fork over 10% of his winnings to Masvidal.
Weight issues aside, his performance was enough to catch the eye of Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker and was soon offered a contract to compete within the organization which he gladly accepted.
His first assignment comes this Saturday night against the hard hitting Scott “Hands of Steel” Smith on the undercard of the Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu show at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
While most fans of MMA won’t soon forget his actics in his final UFC outing, all he can do at this point is continue to win graciously in the future.
Daley will make a television appearance tomorrow night on ESPN’s MMA Live to help promote his upcoming ifht with Smith and undoubtedly try to repair his tarnished image.
His interview tomorrow night can be seen on ESPN2 at 1 AM/ET or 10 PM/PT.
