Fantasy Football: Andre Johnson Avoids Suspension

The Houston Texans have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL and this season they have taken it to a new dimension by finally adding a Pro Bowl caliber running back into the mix with Arian Foster, but this offense wouldn’t be able to function the way it does without arguably the best wide receiver in the league in perennial Pro Bowler Andre Johnson.
No matter what defense they face or whether or not they are favored to come out on top from week to week, the Houston Texans always have a shot of coming out with a win with Johnson down field, but last weekend against the Tennessee Titans this team was in danger of losing their best wideout after he was involved in a violent fight with defensive back Cortland Finnegan.
Not only did Andre Johnson risk a serious injury by getting overly physical with the notoriously hotheaded Cortland Finnegan, but he was also in danger of getting suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell who has no problem disciplining big-name players.
Even though the fight was without a doubt one of the most physical and heated we have seen in a long time, Johnson isn’t known for starting or getting into trouble which helped his case with the NFL Commissioner who decided against suspending the superstar and instead handed out a $25k fine to both players.
Obviously, this has put Andre Johnson on the Commissioner’s radar and if he gets a little crazy the next time the Houston Texans face off against the Tennessee Titans (Week 15), the perennial Pro Bowler will almost certainly get suspended.
The one positive to come out of this for fantasy football owners is that Andre Johnson will get the start in Week 13′s Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles. So if you have Johnson make sure you start him as he could have a big day!
